We are seeking a skilled mobility engineer to join our IT team and support the design, implementation, and optimization of mobile technology solutions across our logistics operations. This is a hands-on, on-site role based in Johns Creek, Georgia, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our mobile infrastructure supports the speed and reliability demands of a fast-paced logistics environment. We are seeking a skilled mobility engineer to join our IT team and support the design, implementation, and optimization of mobile technology solutions across our logistics operations. This is a hands-on, on-site role based in Johns Creek, Georgia, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our mobile infrastructure supports the speed and reliability demands of a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, a solutions-oriented mindset, and experience managing mobile platforms at scale.
This is a 100% on-site role in Johns Creek, GA. Remote or hybrid candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise mobility solutions, including mobile device management (MDM) platforms, mobile applications, and supporting infrastructure
- Manage the full device lifecycle — from procurement and provisioning to retirement — for all mobile and handheld devices used across logistics operations
- Evaluate and coordinate mobility solution requests from business units in partnership with IT security and contracts teams
- Gather and document technical requirements from stakeholders across the warehouse, transportation, and operations teams
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with mobile devices, applications, and connectivity in a timely manner
- Ensure all mobile solutions meet IT security standards, compliance requirements, and company policies
- Conduct field testing, validation, and quality assurance for new and updated mobility systems
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including configurations, system changes, and project progress
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate new mobility technologies and tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize mobile workflows and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise mobility, mobile device management, or a related IT engineering role
- Hands-on experience with MDM/EMM platforms such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar
- Strong working knowledge of iOS, Android, and Windows mobile operating systems
- Experience supporting mobile solutions in a warehouse, supply chain, or logistics environment preferred
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP) as they apply to mobile infrastructure
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on-site
- Strong communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
